Trapping Nature and Taming Time
Encased in the solid, swirling, layered forms of Tetiana Belashchuk’s sculpted paintings are the ephemeral and fleeting moments drawn from sensory experiences in nature. Ukrainian watercolor and mixed media slime painter Tetiana Belashchuk utilizes unconventional art forms as a means of capturing and entombing momentary sensations and allowing viewers to revel in them forever. Belashchuk’s three-dimensional abstractions do more than merely convey the beauty and visual dynamics of the natural world, they capture the energy and turmoil of time ticking by. Belashchuk’s work allows us to rewind and slow down, and reminds us that the moments passing by the quickest may be the most worth appreciating.
