My paintings are manifestos for empowerment and self acceptance for women in my part of the world, and by extension, universally. I present the female form as broken but whole; walking entities of multiple emotions traceable to culture control. I lay the narratives I observe bare upon my canvases while fitting my subjects with relatability carefully embedded in their anonymity. The tedium and colourful intricacy involved in my technique - which involves painstakingly making paint marks that act as pixels of the whole composition - attests to the complexity of these personal and cultural experiences which constantly seek redress.Take a bite into greatness, acrylic on canvas, 30 by 40 inches
